As many of you already know, the bridge has further deteriorated with the last storm. It has sunk further, creating a larger dip. There are workers out there today, doing what they can to clean out debris, re-direct the water flow from the eroded side, and patching the growing hole. A BOD member has been on site today helping to direct traffic while the backhoe is in use and the repairs are made. Chief Brown from Chester Gap has also been on site today to assess the damage and help with the repairs. These people are working very hard to complete the repair work before the next storm arrives and causes more damage. Many thanks to those volunteers who stood out there today in the cold and rain to help!
