There will be a considerable amount of much needed road repair going on over the next few weeks before we move into the winter months. PLEASE observe the speed limit of 15 mph and be cautious of and courteous to the men/women out working on the mountain roads.
The short fence at the lake will also be installed very soon. Please exercise caution if you plan on driving down there while the installation is happening so as not to endanger the workers.
After several calls to REC, they have agreed to come out late this fall or early in the winter to cut back trees off of the power lines. LFR is currently on a 5 year rotation, the last cutting being done in 2012. I have spoken with REC about the need to cut back before 2017 due to the amount of rain and growth we've had. The work being done by REC is part of a regualr maintenance program, and will be done at no cost to the community. Hopefully, this will help reduce any outages this coming winter and reduce costs to the community. Tree work can be very costly!
